The Fate of Alchemy (abbreviated FOA) is an illustrated web-based story, inspired by the background situation and characters of the video game The Sims 2. I wrote and created the illustrations for it in the context of the Sims 2 online community from 2005 to 2009, including a first draft which was entitled The Fate of Pleasantview (or FOP). Both FOP and FOA allowed me to experiment with writing and get regular feedback on what I was doing thanks to the amazing people who took part in that community with me.
However, the story grew a lot over time, as did I, and so I never finished either draft of the story. I eventually decided to work on the story on my own for a while, which makes things much easier for me. So, until further notice, the story is on hiatus, because I'm taking time to rebuild it on my own, without the Sims, and without having to worry about not being able to change what I wrote, once a chapter was posted. But eventually, I do plan on putting the story back out there in its final form. If you'd like to know more about what to expect, please check out the Future of FOA page.
In the meanwhile there are 8 chapters of FOP, and 7 of FOA available on this site for you to read. The seventh chapter of FOA is exclusively hosted on the official Sims 2 website, but you'll find a link to it in the chapters section nonetheless. I hope you enjoy (re)reading them all!

I also recently started a blog, which is unrelated to FOA, to log the upcoming months, during which I'll be moving to a new country and attending a new college. It's the best way to keep up with me, and since I'm constantly thinking about FOA, I'll most likely talk about it at times, even though it's not the blog's central theme.
